outlook express and powerpoint

I went to my brothers house to work on the computer. In Outlook Express i had sent many pps presentations. When i double click the pps it says something about it needs to be associated with a program. I checked in control panel for the association and its there. Open with MS Powerpoint. I saved the pps into a junk directory and double clicked and opened just fine. My question is why won't it open in his Outlook Express? the best i can figure Express may be corrupted.

So fixed the problem?
