Outlook Express (Blocked list)

I have created a blocked senders list in Outlook Express but if I receive an email from someone in the list, it quite rightly puts it in the deleted folder but I still get a notification of a new email which is very annoying. I only want my Outlook Express to notify me of emails that I have not blocked previously. I'm sure it can be done with the "Message Rules" option but it wants me to type every person in my list in first. Can I copy all the blocked people in one go into a message rule such as "Dont download from server"?

Can anyone also recommend an email program (not webmail type) that is much better than Outlook Express and will give me the option to make sure I dont get alerted to emails from my blocked list?

Try downloading and installing Spamihilator and just add the senders to the block list. It will stop them from even entering Outlook.
