Outlook Express

I use Outlook Express 6. But I can't check my e-mail remotely.

My pop server has a webmail option, so if Outlook Express is not open on my computer, it sends it to webmail instead. This is great, unless I left Outlook Express open when I leave. Usually I forget to close it. And even if I don't, if it sends it to webmail, it won't send it to Outlook Express. It would be nice if it did both so I don't have two groups of emails.

I read about e-mail forwarding using the Tools menu, and sent it to my .gmail account. I tried it, and it works, but it tells me that every message is from me.

Since my e-mail address is associated with my domain name, and lots of people have this e-mail, I don't want to abandon this address and begin using my free g-mail account or yahoo account.

What can I do to make sure that I can read my e-mails remotely while using OE6?

Thanks!! (my first post here)

You can't check incoming mail to OE period remotely. You simply have to check off the "leave on server" option in the OE settings and access the ISP's mail server online prior to seeing mail downloaded by OE. It's that simple.

The mesages being forwarded are being sent by the mail server not OE to the gmail account being stamped automatically as part of the process. Simply send a chain letter ro see every address it gets sent to and forwarded from.
