Hi,
Last night I opened a new free hotmail account, which I then added to my mail accounts in outlook express. Subsequently, I tried "send & receive" to download my MS introductory email, however an error message was shown saying that free hotmail accounts can no longer be used in conjunction with outlook programs.
I have also noticed lately, that when opening outlook and the send/receive function is activated automatically that often on the first try there are error messages and the new messages are not received from the net successfully. The second try usually works fine, could this be a related issue ?
I have three mail accounts on O.E. ( 2 x hotmail.com, 1 x msn.com ), all of which I have had for some time. The new account is of the "hotmail.co.uk." type.
1/ Will only the new hotmail accounts be effected in this way or also the older existing ones ?
2/ The whole thing seems a little odd and is there anyway of getting around it ?
Thanks, Carlo.
