overclcoking my XFX 8600GT

Can you guys tell me how to overclock this card.I am OCing by ntune.

I need step step method coz I am noob at overclocking.
reply as soon as possible as I am trying ot OC my card right now.
 
It's quite simple, slowly raise both core and memory clock, Say ten Mhz or so (the card will have a considerable amount of headroom in the beginning so it's alright to make larger jumps at first) testing along the way for artifacting. ATItool has a built in artifact detector, so it's the ideal oc'ing tool, putting aside my problems with it.
 
if you have 620/800 card, overclock it to 711/915/3000. That is the max setting stable enough to run 3dmark06.
 
Each card overclocks differently, so while comparisons of other successful overclocks help, he should really try and overclock normally, he might end up lower than yours, or higher.

Yeah, they are all different, and 3DMark is independent on the clocks part, as long as it's stable, it will run 3DMark no matter what.
 
Well I have overclocked it to 700/915 but it's not the limit.
The problem is everytime I boot up my PC I have to load the overclocked profile.How can I make it default so I don't have to load again and again.And since I only have trial version of 3dmark06 I am playing games to make it stable.The only problem I am having is my mouse freezes if I open the ntune for second time.
 
I don't know of a way with Ntune. However I do know the Overclocking utility Rivatuner has a setting to do as you want.
