overclock amd clawhammer 3700+?

My laptop is a fujitsu siemens amilo a1630 3700+ with 1gb ram,80gb hd 4200,radeon mobility 9700,(called uniwill in the states i think)(754 socket)
i just had a few questions to ask someone who knows because i dont!
could i overclock this computer?
would i get better performance?
is it easy?
is it worth doing?
 
No

It's not worth doing because your laptop is already very powerful and should perform very well as it is. By overclocking, you would run into temperature problems and sort and that is something that a lappy is very prone to.

It is fast and when i use it on a desk where the air can circulate its fine but if sitting on the bed it gets hot because of lack of air going in to the fans
 
I think its more than fast enough at the moment for everything i need to do but just thought id check with someone who knows,from these forums it seems like nearly everybody does it!
 
oh the chip will overclock. I doubt you wil have any overclocking option in the bios. Big manufacturers like that hack out the bios's stopping people from oc'ing.
Helps keep down warrenty provisions
 
ive tried overclocking my 3700+ but didn't like it at all. it turns out that my processor has a dodgy memory controller cos it keeps killing sticks of ram in the second slot lol.

ive never had problems overclocking my sempron that i have lying around, managed to get that to 2400 mhz on air. :D
