Overclock my GPU

Do you suggest I oveclock my GPU (look at sig) If so, how much and how do I overclock it?
Will I ever experience graphical distortion?
 
Well i guess the first question is... what are you doing that you need to oc it?? heavy gaming... developing....ect...

Do you have hmonitor or cpu-z
 
If your gonna OC the GPU do it in small stages (couple mhz at a time !). Then keep testing on games. You`ll be able to tell when it becomes unstable !. Also if you do decide to OC then get nTune form the nVidia website.
 
if it is unstable won't programs like "not respond" and stuff like that? what exactly happens when it is unstable?
 
You will experience dodgy colours and badly rendered frames during game play ! Then when these tell tail signs take play just underclock a lill.

EDIT: i think when OC`ing the GPU with nTune it will do a self test first before saving the OC settings. So that you do not damage your hardware.

in my opinion it's always worth overclocking. i say go for, get the max clocks you can. heat normally doesn't limit you since GPU's are normally undervolted a bunch anyways. i mean i stopped the fan on my gpu for like a week and didn't even notice... temps soared at like 70C haha, of course that was under full load. a sata cable was in the way now it never even hits 50C.

but yea, squeeze as much out of it as you can.
