what is the highest temp you want to run if you overclock an amd? right now, i am running an amd 64 3000+ at 2.06 ghz with the temp under normal loads at 33-34C. is that normal? could i OC it more? what is to high of a temp under normal load and max load?

that is a very good temp i dunno if u should keep goin thats your decision but until you reach like 55c-60c your fine

Heya

As far as I know, the average temp for the Athlon 64 3000+ on idle is about 25-30 Celsius under ideal conditions within the case. I have overclocked to 2.6Ghz and my idle temperature is around 32 Celsius (35 when it's warm outside). Under heavy load it gets fairly close to the 50 mark. However, it usually runs at 45 max. Now as to the max temp admissible? I would say 40 at idle and 55 on load. You should never reach a temp of over 65 Celsius with the Athlon 64 (Venice).
