Overclocking a P4C 2.26

hey all some time passed and im on the verge of savin up money to build my comp and saw this chip on ebay new and wanted to know if it had any potential. i looked on newegg and some guys claimed to oc it at ~3.4ghz and was wondering if its possible. also with this chip and other components like msi 9800 pro and 512 ram and all would i be able to run D3 and UT2004 and all.

r u saying that he said it was clocked from a 2.26 to a 3.4 Ghz?

Doable but not doable by everyone (and highly dependent on the individual components)
