my dads got one, but he won't let me touch the bios lol.
anyways, all cpu's are different. they all overclock differently so you dont know how are you'll get before you try. raise frequency 3-5mhz until windows wont boot, then lower it 10-20mhz so that its stable.
check out overclocking 101 its a stickey.

Heej dikke,

Misschien moet je ff en originele vraag verzinnen, want dit gaat niet werken he op dit forum. Ze gaan echt geen dikke vetzak helpen zoals jou hoor!

This is an English forum. If you want to speak to someone in your native tongue, take it to the PM box.

Wouter, what Athlon 2800+ are you talking about? The Athlon XP 2800+, or the Athlon 64 2800+?

If you are talking about the Athlon XP 2800+, I got mine up to 2.2GHz ([email protected]) from stock, which was 2.083GHz ([email protected]). When I raise my clock speeds to 2.3GHz, Windows won't boot up.

your right, you never do know Fade2green :P joking... but i got my 2900+ up to about... 2.6GHz from 2.093GHz

the xp 2800+ are pretty good for overclocking if you get a nice mobo but u gotta watch the temps, i have a crap mobo on my 2800+ so i cant get it that high but i got it to 2.3Ghz b4

I have the amd 64 2800+, seems like a good overclocker, but i have generic everything and my motherboard doesn't have a working agp/pci lock, so OC is no for me :(

lol thats a BUMMER
as long as you dont lag in games and the computer works well i wouldn't actually go and replace anything though.
maybe try getting a newer version of the bios from the manufacturer.
