Overclocking AMD Athlon 64 X2 6000+

I've been pretty unimpressed with my Computers ability as of late, and I would like to experiment with Overclocking. I just bought a new Geforce GTX 550ti, and would really like to see some over-all speed as well as CPU Speed. I have 4 Gigs of Ram and plenty of Harddrive space.

My worry is Cooling. I have a Fan on the Side, a Fan in Back and a Fan on top, all of which are set on High (Out of Low, Medium, High) My PSU has a fan in the back blowing out, as well as a Giant Fan underneath blowing into my machine. I also have a Fan on my Video card as well as a Fan on my CPU. Im thinking if I arrange my fans accordingly (Blow-in and Blow-out) I should be able to generate enough cooling to OC just a little bit...maybe to 3.2ghz or 3.4 (Id like to see 3.4) Perhaps someone can tell me what the best fan set-up is as well (3 blowing in, 1 blowing out, etc)

I will attach my DxDiag so you can check out my specs. No hurry on this at all but any help/guidance would be appreciated. I would also like to figure out how to overclock my RAM and Video Card (I will post that in another thread and I believe my Video Card comes with a Utility to overclock it)

Thanks in advance!!

Edit: My DXDiag exceeds the amount of KB able to Upload?....really? lol Ill look around for a Free file hosting and post the link. Sorry for the delay.

No one? Lol. Anyone know of a better forum to post this kind of question on? Im really anxious to get started on this :P

Have to use you bus. Bump it up about 5mhz at a time till it get unstable. Then you will need to either bump it back or bump your CPU voltage up. If your using a stock cooler, I would not go over 1.4V or just keep a good eye on your CPU temp under load.

When your raising your bus, keep a eye on your HT and memory speed if they go to far from default you will need to work on the voltage for them too. The easy way is just set your HT and memory X back one, so as you raise you bus speed they will work there way back up to default.

Awesome. Thanks man. I was talking to a few people, and apparently, I should just get a new Mobo CPU combo. With the new stuff that's coming out, I should be able to get a decent upgrade for pretty cheap.

the best i was able to get my old 6000+ was 3.4GHz but at the voltage it needed for that the chip would have fryed very quick. the highest u will get safely is 3.3GHz but even that takes quite alot more voltage(not rely worth it), i ended up settling for 3.2GHz with a .025v increase. the chip is already maxed out basically.
