Overclocking and voltages

Hey guys

Well ive been dabbling in OCing for a small while and i wanna take it further (I cant help it, i just have to)

Now ive OCed my CPU and RAM

My CPU is at 2.532GHz and the ceiling is 2.64GHz

My ram is at 942Mhz from DDR2 800.

Now what worries me is if my ram might be the thing holding my OC back.

So i went in my BIOS to raise the voltage by .5 or less, but the only interval I had was 1.8 (what i am running) and the next is 2.0v

Now what will i damage if i run at 2v instead of the normal 1.8?

Remember, im running el cheapo ram

And also my CPU votlage. I see im running at 1.32v, but when i got to change the voltage, it starts with 1.7 (and descends)

Can i change straight to 1.33 (or less to get better stability)? Must i turn off speed step?

Any help will help

Thans guys

does your computer lag when you try to do stuff on it?

idk, you sound like you just like to overclock. personally i do it to save money. why buy a $300 processor when you can buy a $180 processor and overclock it to be as fast as the $300 processor?

sincerely though, if you really want to push your overclock get a phase change cooler. they cost a good bit of money but you'll get bragging rights about getting a ridiculous overclock.

i find that a lot of the time when you get an enthusiast overclocker who spends a lot of money on the best overclocking parts to get the best performance possible his computer won't lag (just like mine doesnt) and he spends a lot more money than i do. its good for things like converting video and stuff that doesnt have a limit to how fast it can process .. but when it comes down to it 45mins is as good as an hour when you walk away from it and let it do its thing anyways.

EDIT: sorry about the rant... generally voltage = heat. if your ram doesnt have a heatspreader, i wouldnt put it above its rated stock voltage.
