overclocking ... huh ?

i was told that my ram was slow at 1333 memory and that 1600would be faster for my gaming. but then was also told that it is unstable and wouldnt recomend geting the 1600 as it will overclock the motherboard and is not stable .

any help as i have no clue

Motherboard --- Intel H61 LGA1155 DDR3 USB 3.0 SATA 3.0 feature packed motherboard.
* Memory --- Transcend 8GB DDR3-1333 Memory

CPU ---Intel sandy bridge Core i5 2500 3.3GHz 6M LGA1155 Processor ( Intel Latest technology motherboard
 
You should be able to bump up the frequency on your ram from 1333 to 1600. It will be better but you probably won't notice a difference.

You can fix the stability issue by bumping the voltage. More voltage = stable higher clocks. Just be sure to take it slow. I would keep the RAM at 1333. If you do not know what you are doing it is best to leave it alone.
