Overclocking i5 2400

Hello, I would like to overclock my i5 2400 3,1GHz to at least 3,5, I've got MSI H67MA-E35(MS-7680) motherboard. Any help how to do it? Do I just change the multiplier or would I also have to change the voltage? I change the multiplier by one, save, reboot and repeat again if there are no errors, did I get it right?

Thanks

It's not a K variant so it doesn't have an unlocked multi.

H67 options are extremely limited. You might be able to bus overclock it but the setting isn't granular enough to get reasonable results.

Well, my PC is max upgraded, was bought like 4 yrs ago, added another slot of RAM and a new graphics card so cant be upgraded anymore :)

I'd say it could be time for a new setup but it should be powerful enough right now. What GPU do you have? Might be worth getting a newer motherboard if the socket allows then getting a better CPU in the future.

Yes, well I wouldnt say its too weak since it's running GTA V and BF4 nicely
I do, Samsung 250gb one

Request: I haven't moved w10 on the ssd yet, could some1 explain me how do i do that?

Hm, well the guy who upgraded this comp for me (I also bought it from him) said that it can't really be upgraded anymore. What do you think? And what could I improve in the future w/o buying a whole new computer?

The max RAM for that motherboard is 16GB of 1333MHz DDR3. If you aren't capped there then you may be able to squeeze a better GPU in there dependent on space. The layout looks cramped from images online.

Hm, well if I upgrade my RAM and GPU, I would also need to upgrade a PSU, aswell as the CPU(i5 3.1ghz would slow down the RAM and GPU) so it would be basically the same as buying a new computer :p
