Overclocking i52500K on ASUS P8P67 PRO

Try setting the voltage manually as a cap of how high the voltage can go under load. Leave C1E/C3/C6/intel speed step enabled. If I am right that will allow your cpu to still move between different levels.

I did originally, whilst the CPU frequency would drop, the vCore wouldn't. I'd rather it did whilst it wasn't needed, which is why I'm using offset values.

what about C1E/C3/C6? do changing any of those values help?

I don't think so, from what I've read the only way to get the voltage AND the CPU frequency to drop is to have it on auto, or offset.

I'm going to go back down to 4.4 as I think I'd prefer the slightly lower vCore.
