I currently have a gigabyte ga-ma78gm-s2h and a amd phenom ii x2 550.

I have upped the FSB from 200 to 205 with the cpu clock set at 16 and while the memory clock with from 800nhz to 820mhz. I noticed the system is a little snappier and the cooling temperature hasn't change..so is it safe to say to up the fsb litltle by little until the temperature changes dramatically and lower it back so it can be stabalize

Are you using the stock cooler? The CPU is unlocked, why not just use the multiplier. Then you wont have to worry about the memory speed and voltage.

No, its an aftermarket cooler. I have now kept the fsb @200 and up the cpu clock to 18 and the memory to 5.33..so its running 3.6ghz and the memory speed to 1066mhz and the cooling hasn't change so I'm good to go :)

What is your cooler? With a 550, just right off set your CPU voltage to 1.40 and your multiplier to 19. If it runs stable check your CPU temp under load. If its not stable try your CPU voltage to 1.425. Just keep a eye on your CPU temp.
