Overclocking my cpu i5 2500k

Hello , i have a intel core i5 2500k , with the motherboard asus p8z68 v pro , and big case i placed 2 extra fans , and it looks pretty stable and the temptures so i overclocked it by clicking , "DEL" at the startup and i took turbo mode, it is now at 4,2 ghz is it worth it and how much more fps will i get at wow for example ??
 
It wont change your fps much if at all, if you are getting low frame rates then you need a graphics card and probably a new power supply too sinc emost people dont get the good brands since they cost a lot more
 
My system is running at 43, CPU , and i am playing wow at the same time now atm ^^ my graphic card is a gtx 550 ti overclocked to 900 mhz my gpu is a bit low, but i will maybe upgrade it and buy 1 more gtx 550 ti :)
 
And you are having framerate issues with wow? Or you just want to know if they will go up? That should max it i think easilly.
 
well ok i noticed that in my opinion it's fast both way it's a really great cpu atm i have been playing with this cpu in about 6 months soon :D
 
The 2500K is a really great CPU, and if you have it stable at 4.2GHz you'll be fine for quite a while. :) If you want that extra edge in new games, consider a new high end graphics card. Or be happy with what you have. :D
 
hehe, ye i am wondering to upgrade to 1 550 ti sli it will perform like a gtx 570 it would be nice for the future
