Overclocking my CPU Question

Hi, my current specs of my computer are the following: HP Pavilion intel(R) Pentium(R) D CPU 2.80GHz, 2x512 DDR2 ram, 9800gt nvidia OCed a little, XP professional, service pack 3. Currently i used rivatuner to increase my gaming performance, wich is why i want to increase my cpu ofcoarse. The things i overclocked are the following: Coreclock - 688MHz, Shaderclock - 1785MHz, and Memoryclock - 1001MHz. Defaults are the following Coreclock - 666MHz, Shaderclock - 1728MHz, and Memoryclock - 950MHz. Ive used ATItool to scan for artifacts and its clean and no algorithms are caught or any problems with these setting, i cud probably go a lil higher. So anyways i checked this site, http://www.extremeoverclocking.com/articles/overclocking/cpu_overclocking.html, and wanted to overclock my cpu, i know it gets really hot and i got 3 standard fans running, and a 430watt powersuppy i forgot to mention, how much can i clock, or can i even clock it at all? Thanks in advance.

What is your mobo?
I think you won't can overclock your CPU because brands lock their bios. You can check into the bios if you can change any clock or voltage, but I'm almost sure you won't can =/
The best solution to get the full power of your GPU would be changing your mobo/CPU/ram. These components are limiting your GPU.

As mentioned, you rarely can overclock "branded" computers. You'd probably need to replace the motherboard if you wish to overclock anything besides the GPU.

Yeah come to think about it i never saw that option to increase the MHz on the bios before... god hp fkin sucks, i have so much unneccesary crap installed and stuff making my comp a lil slower than usual. But anyways thanks for the answer, i guess ill stick to my plan and soon build my own computer :), one that can handle crysis warhead on ultra graphics with anti alising 16xQ ;) i wonder if any pc can handle that :O

Hahaha, I must say that building your own computer is a great experience. I highly recommend it. ;) And this forum is a great place to find building advice!
