so just for giggles im playing with my single core le1600, which i hope to god be able to upgrade to an athlon2 x2 240 nextweek.

but i cant seem to get it higher than 2.8ghz. i got it to 3.3ghz but just cant remember what voltage i set it to.

so im asking, if anyone has some options for me to overclock. im using a stock cooler but as its just a single core it doesnt get that hot, 55c load most of the time.

thanks in advance, even if the answer isnt what i wanted still will be happy with anything that'll help

Can you not just overclock the same way when you got it to 3.3? Just keep upping the voltages until its stable?

yeah problem is i cant remember what voltage i had it at vor 3.3ghz. i want to get a bit higher just for fun. im gonna try today and ill post the results later

ok nvm, i hate my pc it should explode. now i cant get the voltage to set right. i have the clock at 280 and the voltage from 1.25v all the way to 1.4v and yesterday it did work to get 3.3ghz stupid crap

You will need to keep a check on your memory speed to using the bus to overclock. After a point you will need to bump up the memory voltage and mabe lower the timing or set your memory X back.

Just a quick bump for the update, i finally hit 3.3Ghz heres the whole thing

260 @ 1.35v = success 2.860Ghz
270 @ 1.3625v = Success 2.97GHz
280 @ 1.375v = success 3.008Ghz
290 @ 1.3875v = success 3.19GHz
300 @ 1.4v = success 3.3Ghz

so now im just gonna try to run it at 3.3GHz until it crashes then ill down to 3.19Ghz

most probably wont go higher than 3.3ghz as im using the stock cooler. but im happy with the 500Mhz extra
