Overclocking on an Intel motherboard! :)

Hey all!
I just found out that I can afterall overclock my CPU using clockgen (I have a Intel mobo that doesn't allow overclocking in the BIOS). I can just use the FSB to overclock (It overclocks everything at the same time). So do I just loosen my memory timings (in the BIOS) and overclock from there? How often should I test it, and for how long? I might be able to set my memory to DDR2 553 in the bios, and then overclock in windows (acting like a "memory divider"). Thanks!

well, I would just first start by a few mhz at a time, seeing if everything is stable. I wouldn't mess with the memory dividers and stuff until you reach your first ceiling.

I got it on 2.9, stable now on full (I'll run overnight), but Prime95 glitched now and won't run, regardless of clock speeds. (I mean, it will only run one at a time, not two for dual core).

Right now I got a 2.97 on the processor, though I had to loosen the my memory from 4-4-4-12 to 5-5-5-15 at 2.92. Right now the memory is at DDR2 708!!!! of course it is technically DDR2 675 memory...

EDIT: the magical 3.0 GHz, with a 856 Mhz fsb, and DDR2 714 on the memory. :)
