I am thinking about overclocking my new pc(specs below) but i didnt understand the overclocking 101 too well. Is their just a program i can download where i choose the settings and it overclocks it for me??
Would that be a program? I'm thinking yescoconut said:Or get "cpufsb". Does the same thing.

jancz3rt said:This is total nonsense. WISE overclocking will make the CPU copmaratively stronger than its original state. Take my case where I overclocked by 800Mhz and the difference is huge. You can always return back to your original clock. The lifespan is shorter but by how much? In our modern computer age, a life span shorter by a bit does not play much of a role as CPUs become obsolote quickly.

Yes but that's why you dont overclock to a stupid point. And people that can overclock to that stupid point usually dont ask questions about how to overclock. Yes it potentially reduces lifespan but not by anything anyone would notice within 25 years.Overclocking Ur CPU will make it weak and if you return it to Stock it well still be Weak ...once Oced Never Stock again and it will shorten the CPUS life ...
the one that corresponds to your motherboard. since its not listed, there isnt a program available for you.which one to use from this site? <http://www.CPUid.org/clockgen.php>
read the OC 101.(if it can be overclocked) how much?
