Overclocking questions

I read the 101 posted here, thanks for the info.

I have a couple questions. If I overclock and something blows, will the manufacture be able to tell it was overclocked? Also, if I find that I screw something up, will I be able to go back to the default settings?

Also, from what I gathered, I would go into the bios to overclock a CPU correct?. I pretty well know nothing about OC, is there something I can unlock in the bios, then use a program to OC?

Thanks.

You can rarely blow an CPU or motherboard, unless you increase your clock from 200 to 250 in one jump, or if it overheats and you didnt check your temps...

Overclocking voids the manufacturer warranty, and I cannot tell you if they can find out.

Yes you OC in the BIOS . There are some motherboards that let you overclock in the desktop though...

The chances of it blowing something would only happen if you start really raising the voltages. If you did and as far as the manufacture knowing thats a 50/50 thing, who knows. Yes you can reset back to defaults.
