overclocking-stability issue

hello. im a bit new at overclocking so please bear wth me. just recently, i overclocked my athlon xp 3000 from 2.1 to 2.3ghz. i ran prime95 and after 6 minutes, it said there was a stability issue. the temps seem to be fine: 27c at idle and 38c full load. i cant seem to figure out what the problem is.

it could be your powersupply what kind is it? or what voltage do you have it set at?

i have a ultra xconnect 500w psu. the voltage is at 1.6v

i wouldnt go any higher with the voltage. what are the amps on the 12v rail on the powersuupply and is it dual 12v rail.

Remember that his core is 130 nm or 180 nm based (cant remember which), so they use alot higher stock voltage.

oh ok i didnt know that. thanks for letting me know. i guess you can go higher.
 
YA prime dont work for me too well either.. at 2.15 im unstable and prime wornt run so i went down to 2.09 and ran prime for liek 7 hours. So i fugured yay stable went up to 2.10 and ran prime for like 5 minutes and its liek stability issue read stress txt. WTF forget prime
