Overclocking with 2x512Mb Geil Value ram

i have 1Gb of geil value ram, i would like to know what experiences people have had with this ram as i wanna overclock when i get a new motherboard.
also, what do you think of the Asus KV8 pro as a platform for overclocking?
 
Which specific model do you have? As for an overclocking platform ... as for K8T800s, you've got one of the better boards out there (ASUS) ... but as for general ... not really. Via makes (relatively) crummy chipsets
 
this is the specific model information that i got from the geil website.... GE1GB3200BHDC (CAS @ 2.5-6-3-3).

Im not particularly fond of this board as there are no PCI locks which hampers my overclocking. This is a major drawback also cos i use SATA drives, and ive heard that they dont react well to overclocking.

Any other suggestions to S754 motherboards would be welcome :)

Dont overclock the SATA drives ... not a good thing at all. Very bad. :P Most OC boards have locks on the SATA lines but some exceptions exist

As for overclocking, since its A64 ... i assume you've done basic stuff like bump the Vcore/Vdimm? :)
