Overclocking with Easy Tune

Hello.

Just got my new computer going,

Installed Easy Tune that came with the Gigabyte mobo.

Now Im new to the overclocking thing so I left it on easy in easy tune and just nudged up the clock a bit to get 3.1ghz out of my cpu. When I clicked go the display on easy tune said I was at 1.1ghz, also in CPU-Z my ghz keeps changing from 3015mhz to 1100mhz to 2500mhz etc radomly.

Whats going on and how can I fix it back to normal.

IMO I have never liked windows based over clocking programs. Your best bet is going into the BIOS and doing your over clocking there. You should have all the help you will need in the motherboard manual supplied with your motherboard. If you get stuck just post back.
