jonnyp11 New Member Jul 8, 2012 #2 depends on the cooler, a good water cooler should hit 4.8 easily, i know a few guys on here run i7's water cooled at 4.9 and 5GHz.

A angush New Member Jul 8, 2012 #3 OK i will say 4.5 as only getting a h100 from corsair. What would you recommend for anything higher?
jonnyp11 New Member Jul 8, 2012 #4 h100 should get it to 4.8 or 9 stable. a custom loop would be good but require a lot of maintenance and tons of money, but you could water cool your graphics and overclock it too.
