Overclocking XFX 6950

also what bios did you use to flash your 6950? There are some limits that can be changed depending on what card you have.
 
Weird I am in the same version and hit the limit at 900/1325. Is your card not allowed to go any higher or is it just not stable?

EDIT: I think I just figured it out!

Go to computer -> Local Disc C: -> program files x86 -> MSIAfterburner.cfg

Change

[ATIADLHAL]
UnofficialOverclockingEULA =
UnofficialOverclockingMode = 0

TO

[ATIADLHAL]
UnofficialOverclockingEULA = I confirm that I am aware of unofficial overclocking limitations and fully understand that MSI will not provide me any support on it
UnofficialOverclockingMode = 1

Save the cfg file and restart MSI Afterburner. I no longer have the limits of 900/1325 on my 6950!

salvage is correct. changes those through wordpad will increase the limit that you can go.

Although I cant get anything stable above ~875/~1400 myself. the drivers crash when starting 3d apps
