So a couple days ago my computer kept crashing cause of a virus and I thought my computer was just overheating. I got rid of the virus and my pc blows out cool air but when I play games the top blows out very warm air causing the pc to freeze and I have to restart.. All the other fans or blowing out cool air but not this one, and yes I know warn air rises but it shouldn't be causing my pc to crash.

Any direction on what to do?

What computer, GPU and CPU do you have? You should be able to run monitoring software in the background but it varies between platforms. Something like Speedfan generally works OK.

Also, it shouldn't crash/freeze based on heat alone unless there is some other problems. Most platforms will throttle pretty hard, and then shut off the PC if the temperature goes over the threshold. You may have other virus related issues that aren't clean, even if your virus scanner indicates 'clean' that doesn't mean you can't be infected.

As beers has said, providing more information on your computer's hardware will help with troubleshooting your problems and allow us to provide you with procedures for you to try out to see if it will fix your problems.

If it's the GPU causing excess heat, especially with Windows 7 and above, the graphics driver crashes and recovers from it. It'll most likely crash your game and you'll have to exit out, but definitely not a hard lock.

No HW info, no temp readings, no nothing. "It's hot so that must be why it's crashing". You should have been a computer technician bro.
