overheating

whenever i play a game (counter strike), my video card overheats very quickly. i have a nvidia geforce 6200 - not a power demanding card. Why is it overheating so easily?

Just hot glue an 80mm fan on it

none of those say they are compatible with my card in particular but they say nvidia cards. will they fit?

you can buy a pci slot fan next to it.

You dont need a fan for those, I think most 6200's are just passive cooled.

What you can do is buy a PCI slot cooler or a VGA fan cooler.

yeah but first you should double check your overall computer cooling, because it might not just be your graphic card, cuz if one component in the computer is getting overheatted, the the entire system will be affected, such as the overall temperature of the case, so yeah make sure you have at least one fan that's blowing towards the inside of your case and one that exhales air from inside the case, and if the problem is still there, then you think about the PCI slot cooling every1 is talking about

well ive got a massive house fan next to it and it seems to work.
