Oversea broadcasting on pc

I live in the UK and miss watching US programs. I have an 8 year old pc and a tv tuner. I was wondering if its possible to hack the tv tuner to pick up oversea channels. It uses a outdoor aerial to pickup programs. Could i possible get a high gain antenna, or hack the antenna or software to get channels?

I don't know where hack starts and ends here. its not your hardware. Its a proxy server from another country. Example, my brother lives in Canada, i wanted to see a tv show he was on for volunteer work. Not bad, but was rejected. There is a back door. i will visit and see news from another country when ever i want, and you will not tell me i can't. I don't like that and don't tell me i can't. I will figure it out. A country will and in the states will block server. Visiting vietnam, or anywhere over seas to follow up on news. thats what i do.
