Overwritten Folder Problem

I am running XP Pro with SP2

My problem is...

I moved a folder from my laptop to my pc, overwriting the folder on my PC.

I meant to do it the other way; from my PC to the laptop!

Now I have an older version of the folder on my PC and on my laptop.

The newer version of the folder (and contents) is now overwritten.

Is there anyway I can go back to the previous version or retrieve the previous version on my PC?

I tried undo but it didnt work.

Any help would be appreciated as I need the newer version of that folder.

An addition to the above!

There is really only 1 file I need (but I could do with them all) out of the folder. (The original folder on my PC).

Which I saved pretty regular, would it be saved in a temp folder somewhere?
