Own a Quad SLI!

thats been headlining in the dell xps 600 renegade system for a while now, it wa on this forum a while back. my god does it look damn sexy
 
Quad-SLI are for the snobby rich people who think they need to have the absolute best in order to play a game, when in reality by the time that any game would take advantage of all 4 cards, you can probably buy one top-of-the-line cards that has newer technology for alot less money.
 
I don't know how the raw performace of 4 cards would be, but isn't it true that one 7800GTX basically plays any game out there full speed? I mean really, what's the point of such power, even SLI is typically overkill unless you're using say 6X00 cards

SLI mirrors the memory, so it will still be either, 128MB, 256MB, or 512MB, depending on the cards you use.
 
It's also the perfect solution if you don't want more than 1 PCI card. And you better put that PC in a walk in refrigerator to keep the top 3 cards below like 100C
 
Jesus christ are GPU developers getting lazy or what. Instead of making a better card they just pack in as many as they can :P

A wise man once said to me always employ at least one lazy person... they'll always find the easiest way to do something.

bear in mind its also a good way to sell more graphics cards... makes perfect business sense to me
 
Is it just me, or do those 7800's look a lot like the 7800GS's?

I'm just going to get "good" computers that can run games on med-high settings comfortably and upgrade about every year and a half :)

^ It's better than blowing all your money on 1 nice computer and not being able to upgrade for a while
 
It seems like slowly they are making it so every single little chip on a pc needs its own fan I remember when a heatsink was enough for your CPU

Haha... I still have a computer that old.. and an extra chip and heatsink for it..

i used to have a computer that could run for about 10 minutes without a heatsink or fan! It was a Pentium i believe.
 
lol I have a comp that only has a HSF, no other fans watso ever and runs fine. its an old altholon, don't kno the name, all I kno its amd and its 1.4ghz lol

for my pentium 166mhz server i don't even bother with the heatsink yet it remains cool to the touch :)
 
Why get that when you can get these awesome Quantum 3D cards from Voodoo? All you need is 4 PCI slots for more gaming 3D power than you could imagine.
