P2P software

Is there any good p2p software that won't give you viruses, spyware, slow down the computer, etc. I used to use Limwire, but it really slowed down my computer. Any ideas?

is probably the files that you are downloaded that is causing it and not the software this is a risk you're taking downloading stuff.

I must remind anyone replying to this thread, that whilst discussing various p2p programs and the technology itself is perfectly within the forum rules, advocating or advertising illegal uses of this software is not acceptable.

There are perfectly legitimate uses of p2p, for example freeware programs, small distributors, and non-copyright material. Posting links to copyrighted music such as Guns and Roses discographies have no place on this forum.
