p4 supports ht question..?

I see on ebay that some processor comes with HT.
and some says it suppots HT. if i get one thats supports ht how do I make it and HT processor?
is it expensive? and easy to do?

Also, if anyone know. is L2 Cache Size an improtant factor in a processor? i plan to run graphic and video editing programs. also 3d modleing application.

supports ht means it has ht...it just needs to be enables through BIOS and the motherboard has to have ht abilities also. it says supports ht b/c it can work on a mobo even if the mobo does not have ht. but if the mobo does have ht, it will work and have ht enabled too. :)
 
lol, that was a little confusinf though....how about this:

ht mobo + ht cpu = ht computer

ht cpu + non ht mobo = no ht computer

ht mobo + non ht cpu = no ht computer

both the mobo and cpu have to have ht for the computer to be ht.
