P4X266a Restarts Randomly

I recently got a P4x266a mobo from a friend who never used it before. I first had problems with the board where I could not install windows xp. I later found out that I had to disable L2 Caching. When I was done with that the install went fine, but it took forever. When I woke up the install was almost finished and after I got home from school it was done. So I fire up the system let windows load and all of the sudden restart! Why it restarted I don't know. All I knows is that ever since I got this board I have been having major problems with it. I was wondering if any one could find known issues with the board or do you think if I install all the windows updates the system will run fine or am I shit out of luck on this one? I would keep the L2 caching diabled, but then my system would be too slow.

Also I forgot to mention that I get a quick flash of the blue screen right before the computer restarts.

Upgrade xp to current revisions.

My bad dude I thought the model was P4X266A, but thats the chipset the model is P4PA

do you have any usb devices plugged in? i had a quick BSOD whenever i retsarted with my webcam pluged in

Yes I do have a usb keyboard. That may be the problem I will try a regular keyboard.

More suggestions

Anybody else have suggestions. I'm going to try and update my drivers to all of their latest versions. I think today is going to be the day that I or we crack this case open hopefully
