I installed 2 1 gig Crosair PC6400 XMS2 sticks on my P5W DH Delux mobo. when I hit tab to see the Bios post I see the memory listed as PC5300, why is that happening, and how do I fix it? Thanks in advance!

change the divider cpu:ram ratio

Good point but I never oc or played with bios settings like that before. In fact, I don't even know how to do that in the bios. More importantly, shouldn't the memory just work on a 765 chipset? How can I do what you are suggesting?

You may have to up the speed to the right one specified for the RAM. If you dont want to mess things up, then dont change it. It wont make much of a difference.

I do plan to oc this computer, so yes I want to know how to do that. It would probably make for a good starter project. Do you have any link or set of instructions that I can follow to do what your suggesting? Thanks

On my ASUS, i do to the CPU section and change the DDR frequency... i dont remember what it was on the newer M2N, which probably has about the same BIOS as yours, but it is very similar. Just look for "Memory Frequency" or something of that sort.
