is it possible to use a monitor with a resolution higher than 1080p with a p8z68-v-lx? dual dvi input.
when i plug my screen in i hear the sound meaning the computer has recognized a device but nothing appears. could this be a driver issue ? due to my GPU being on the repair i have to use the motherboard input. the bigger screen is one of those Korean ones.
If its not driver its resolution is there any way to stop windows from automatically changing the resolution?

Did you plug it in when you were in windows? It doesn't have a sound if you plug your screen into your pc if you're on your desktop ;D.
Normally you plug your screen into it before you start your pc ;P.
When you start your pc, does anything show up or is it only when you enter in windows?
If it's only in windows, you'll have to go in vga mode.
How to come in vga mode;
Start your pc
Press f8
Select vga mode or enable low-res video
If you enter windows now, go to device mananger and uninstall the drivers from your previous card under videoadapters.
Then boot again normal.

My computer makes sounds when I unplug/plug in screens from desktop :x
but yeah jokes i tried this fix:

its a reg edit and my when i restarted wouldn't even let me see bios lol, had to reset pram battery. gave me a chance to test the other screen from start up and nothing appears even when the normal one shows bios etc.
im just guessing its not compatible with this motherboards dual dvi input
