Pagefile Settings

i dont know much about setting the pagefile settings..but ive read certain ways are better for optimal performance

im running windows xp pro service pack 3
i got 3gb ram

and i have 2 internal drives

what would be the ideal settings for my pagefile

Initial size
Max size

and which drive should it be on for best performance

well, i think that in your situation, i would use the smaller drive for windows, then create a partition on the 2nd hard drive for about 8 gigs (2.5 x total ram), and then disable the page file for the c drive, and select the 8 gig partition for paging with system managed settings. use the rest of your 2nd drive as a data drive
