Painting a monitor?

I'm (probably) getting a GREEN case, and GREEN mouse, keyboard and speakers. However, there doesn't seem to be any green monitors.

Could I paint one? And if so, what kind of color? I know it's not the easist task, of course, but if it is possible, I'll be careful. I really wanna brag with my all-green computer. ;)

There are green monitors but you'll prolly need to buy the rest of the system to get. As for "kind" .. i dunno... depends prolly on the material the monitor's shell is made of .. MaxPC did an article a couple years back on painting your system case (i could prolly find it if need be) and id imagine the process is the same (naturally you dont need to completely grind down the shell as you would a computer case)

id personally take off the casing and paint that(watch what you unplug/unscrew), make sure you sand it down with 1000 or higher grit so it will accept the paint. apply light coats in many layers, then clear coat it. let it sit for a day or so, and make sure you dont paint in humid air.

it would be badass. (imagine black/silver and green camo)

It'll be blue, can't find green keyboards. Plus, my ex-girlfriend thinks the blue chassi looks cooler. :D

But no, there are no green monitors. Truse me, I've looked for them. ;)

Praetor, if you could find that article, I'd be most grateful. PM me about it if you can be bothered. (this board DOES have a PM system, right?)

I modded my case and keyboard+monitor+roller ball, I use metalic green paint. you can see the pics here -

i've also just done another one in metalic purple paint but theres no mobo in it yet, i'll put pics of that one on when finished.

Very nice mod! :)

But if you want to see really extreme mods, look at these pictures:
