Parallel desktop? Can he see what I am doing?

I am using a mac that previously belonged to my former partner. I have a Macbook Pro, and he had previously installed a parallel windows desktop on it, using his account. Does it mean he can access my files on my mac? I tried to turn it off, but I am not sure what to do.

He would have had to install a remote connection like Team viewer on the windows side, and parallels would need to be running in order to even have it be accessible.

Parallels is just a virtualization software where you can run multiple operating systems inside of your existing operating system.

As stated, if the VM isn't powered on then it's inactive. If you have no need for that Windows install you could probably remove it, or install your own fresh container with your own copy of Windows.

How do I know if i have a team viewer, and what is that? It sounds familiar.

Is it most likely he has not accessed anything?
How do I remove everything related to parallel desktop?

its remote software. It will be installed in programs. you should be able to uninstall if ya have full rights.

Just open Applications in a finder window, find the Parallels icon, and drag it to the trash. That will uninstall it.
