I'm looking at installing Parallels 10 on my wife's MacBook Air (only a year old). I was wondering if anyone has had any bad (or good) experience with Parallels and Yosemite?
A Macbook air is really not designed to be used with Parallels. Not that it can't be done, Parallels 10 and Yosemiite work really well together it just doesn't have the processing power to really run both Windows and OSX together with good performance in both.
There is some functionality of Excel and Word that does not exist in the Mac version. Also my wife does some sensitive work online with folks that create some pretty sophisticated Excel and Powerpoint files that are traded among a group. She is the only one with a Mac and all agree it can be frustrating. Not critical that both are open at the same time, I just thought it would be easier for her when trying to go back and forth. But thanks for the information. I appreciate the questions and response.
