Parallels Desktop: is it for me?

Hello! :) I am a newbie here.
Some days ago I've bought my first Mac! Rather powerful and smart one (oh, they are all smart). ;)
I am still rather Windows-addicted user so I am sure I will still need Windows on my new Mac. With Windows I can continue my work while I'm getting used to unfamiliar OSX environment. I like PC-gaming as well. They say that Boot Camp is perfect for it. I've already checked it - runs perfectly!
But I need soft that will let me run Windows and OSx simultaneously. I was choosing between Parallels Desktop and VMWare Fusion. And I think I should choose Parallels for some reasons (my friends use it and have nice reports on it). But still I don't have 100% of certainty.
Any thoughts? :)

yeah right, Fusion kills it.
i have used Parallels, yes it works great, but i got more crash than i did on Fusion.
I will suggest you but Fusion, for more info you cn ask Tlarkin

Well, I think you should choose Parallels and I want to please you: it is time to buy Parallels Desktop just now!
First of all why I think you should get it. I join to your friend's reports. When I was in the same situation as you 3 months ago I've chosen Parallels Desktop. There is no regrets about this purchasing! I like it very much! Excellent usability and interface, it fully satisfies my needs. What I like most in Parallels is their perfect support. So I'm sure it will be right choice for you.

Why you should buy it right now? Because right now they have excellent and attractive offer for you called "Break into spring". They offer you to save $15 if you buy Parallels Desktop Premium and then to save $10 when you upgrade it!
I think you should go for it and don't miss such a nice opportunity! ;)

Yes, that's right! My nick says that I want to run and windows simultaneously to make a universal machine from my Mac! :)

Yes, thanks for your brief report about experience on running Parallels. That was very useful.
I've learned their offer. Looks really attractive. If there are no serious differences between VMWare and Parallels + now I have another positive report about Parallels, then I definitely should use the opportunity to pay less and get nice product that will satisfy my needs! ;) Ok, I think I will get it this week. I will tell you about my experience later...

Mates, I got it!
Last weekend I've purchased Parallels Desktop Premium and took advantage from "Break into spring" offer. I've economized $15 on purchasing. And I will save $10 on its further upgrading! :) I have already installed this soft. Now I try to come apart with all the Parallels' features... I already enjoy it!
