If you have a Mac I encourage you to buy the application Mac Minder, my dad installed it on my computer and he could choose how long on certain days I can use browsers, games, Microsoft Messenger, etc. But I got around it

Quite right. Nothing beats looking over your kid's shoulder at what s/he is doing online.
