My friend showed me this picture of his computer, does anyone know how to fix it?

Yeah, it just appears cut off.


[EDIT] No, it's not cracked guys. I should have also mentioned it only happens to him sometimes. Once he shuts down and unplugs his computer everything works. As you can see, his cursor is actually in the black part of the screen.
