Partition Magic Issues

I have just used Partition Magic 8 to resize a partition and during the resize the power went out and when i booted up the hdd is now in a format called PqRP and i have scanned with Ontrack EasyRecovery but it doesnt seem to find any of the file that i recognise and that should be there. Do i have any other options other than formatting because I would really prefer not to.

If recovery software isn't finding anything then unless you want to spend money on recovering (and that's not always guranteed to get your data back) you have lost everything. Power failures are always bad when you are doing disk operations like that.
