Partition my harddrive(s)

Hi...

I was looking into possibly partitioning my harddrive(s) as I have read that the computer performance will be better. I have no idea how to do it though, and saw that Norton Partition Magic has a "wizard" to help me. I have three drives (C, D and G). C is 120GBs, D is 40GBs but is my recovery drive (HP), and G is 40GBs. I have most of my "media" on my G drive as it stands now. I am also running Windows XP Home and that is my only OS. Am I a candidate for partitioning? If so what is the EASIEST program/way to do it?

So basically go thru the wizard, create another partition on my 120GB C drive for example... and then what can I move to that newly created partition?

If most of my music and videos is on my 40GB G drive and nothing else is really on that drive, is it silly to partition my C drive? What would I seperate? My C drive contains mostly programs.
