partition problem

i have cloned my 160G onto a 1terabyte successfully and removed old drive for a rainy day. everything is ok, except, there is 778Gb of space i cannot access because i have the max partitions, 4, i can't extend any of the partitions either. I thought of removing 1 but i get a warning that if i delete i wont be able to use memory again because of it being an extended partition, so i dont know what to do. it seems a lot of space to not be able to use

help

simple basic healthy (eisa config) 6.83GB 100% free
ACER (C:) healthy (system, boot, page file, active, crash dump, primary partition 71.28GB 15% free
Data (D:) simple basic healthy primary 70.94GB 54% free
New volume (M:) healthy logical drive 4.33GB 99%free

then a partition not mention, but viewable in 'disc management' of 778GB unallocated

Delete M partition (providing there is nothing on it) which will add it to the unallocated space and then turn around and partition the balance of the drive and format it.
