Partition Recovery

Hi,
I accidentally formatted the wrong partition when installing a new OS, and need to get some photo's, and hopefully music files off of the formatted partition. Can i do this? How could i do it?
 
When I did that, I bought a program called Active@ UNDELETE..... It was cheep and was WELL WORTH IT!! got back over 200GB of data. Look in to it, worth the investment, I have used it many times.
