Hello to you all, How do a partition for my 80gb HD to make 40-40.

what version of windows are you using?

programme named magic partiton can do that!!
dos either!! or you can make it when you format your comp using the version of window xp!!
you must format your comp if you want to make a partition!sp back up your files first!

before use magic partiton,you d better backup you data on HDD.

you have to take risk if you are using magic partition!!

Yeah I don't use any 3rd-party software for re-partitioning, I would do as sam said earlier in formatting with an OS boot disk. With the disc unpartitioned its a bit of a catch-22 as in you have no extra partition to backup important things

Is this a new hard drive with nothing on it or is it the one you're already using and want to reallocate your free space as a new partition?
