Partitioning your hard drive??

Hi Im looking to partition my hard drive could some advise me how to go about this. Im also considering getting a second internal hard drive.....any tips & advice welcomed

The actual way partitioning is done from windows is after hooking the drive up and setting it up in the BIOS (it may autodetect it) boot into windows. From there right click on my computer and pick manage. This will bring up the management console, on the left expand the storage tree and click on disk management. To access the menus in the following screen shots you right click:
